New Beginnings

So, it has been a long time since I have written anything in our blog, and probably the most eventful period of our lives. Now that I think about it, I guess the only real exciting thing that we have done is that we got married. :-) That was, by far, the best two weeks of my life. Marrying Chris in Disney World really was my dream come true. I had a great time seeing so much of my friends, family, and Mickey!

This past month has been a pretty crazy one for Chris and I. We have been trying to get to Florida for about two years now so that I can pursue my dream of working in Walt Disney World. We are finally one major step closer. About 3 weeks ago, I accepted a position with Capital One in Tampa, FL. I am just so happy. I leave one week from tomorrow. Chris is following me the next week. The past three weeks have been a blur, and somehow, in that time, we have managed to arrange our entire move!

We are hoping to be in a house within a few months of moving down there. I would really like to be in one by Christmas, so that we can really decorate for Christmas in a nice big house. That is about all for now. I am typing this as I take a break from packing today. I was not as productive as I would have liked to have been, but tomorrow will be a big day for that.

As happy as I am to be closer to Walt Disney World and our families, there are a lot of things that I will miss about Arizona. I will miss the amazing winters, the cacti, the mountains, Scottsdale, the dog park, Fry's grocery store, 4 hour drives to Disneyland or Las Vegas, humming birds, and most of all, going hiking with Chris on Sundays.

Things I will not miss- 90 straight days of triple digit weather, most of those days WELL above 100 by 8:00 am, dust everywhere, constant dehydration, 3 hour time difference when calling the east coast, 4-5 hour flights with multiple layovers every time we visit home, and menacing coyote encounters on my weekly runs.

I am going to sign off for now, but I am going to try to be a better poster and write all about our new home and life in Florida!!! :-)
